Feeddict News Reader is launched in private beta

News readers and RSS feeds have been around for quite some time, but most fall under a one-size fits all approach to obtain a bigger market share. Very few offer the ability to share stories with your social networks, or read email, play podcasts, or check stocks.

To rectify that, webXL is announcing a new site called Feeddict. It’s a RSS Reader, Podcast Player, Email Reader, and Blog Poster all rolled into one. Feeddict is a power user’s feed manager. We’ve made it super easy to add information to your feed and filter out the stuff that doesn’t interest you. And whereas other news readers are mainly focused on consuming information, Feeddict actually lets you do something with it.

Users will be able to create accounts and import their current RSS feeds to get up to speed quickly, or if they’re new to RSS, they can discover feeds based on their favorite websites. The recommendation engine will continue to suggest new feeds and similar articles based on which articles the user reads. The site currently integrates OpenId, with planned integration for Facebook Connect.

Please use the contact form if you would like to be a beta tester.
